I’m Not Your Healer.
Kinesiology is an amazing tool that allows us to identify factors that the individual needs in order to create harmony in the bodies energy systems. This allows the body to function optimally and improve health and wellbeing in general.
We Don’t Treat Diagnose or Prescribe
Although Kinesiology can work wonders with health conditions, as a kinesiologist we don’t have the scope of practice to ‘treat’ conditions. I often still see a lot of people with health issues and we use these issues as . Many of these people improve their wellbeing over the course of their sessions with me. But, the focus of our sessions is on how they wish to be rather than their issues.
We Focus On Your Goals.
When we focus on our issues, it keeps us stuck in that state. particularly if we have been living that way for so long. it’s as if it becomes an identity. When you focus on what you want to be, do and have, it becomes easier to achieve those things. For instance, you may be experiencing some problems with your mood. You might think that you need to heal trauma, or fix your biochemistry, so you feel Normal again. But often we don’t get asked “what will it mean for you if you don’t have this issue”, “what or how do you see yourself doing things differently than you currently are?” And then talk about what that would look like right now and how that would fit into our life right now.
When we look at our wellbeing from this perspective, we start to see possibilities rather than how we are being inhibited by our situation.
This does an amazing thing for our mind and its connection with the body. We start seeing the possibilities and start feeling motivated to do things that support our wellbeing. The body starts to believe that the state it is currently in, is not the best version of itself and starts readjusting to the new reality you are starting to create. This motivates our energy, we start to find the clarity through the haze of stress our body is experiencing. And the great thing about moving towards what we want to experience…. it offers a platform for continuous growth and change. We aren’t confined to a finite and very vague concept of “being healed”. The possibilities for us are endless and defined by each individual.
You Do the Work and Make the Changes
Lastly…. I’m not the one doing the healing. I facilitate the healing process that your body is going through. But, it is you that makes the changes and your body that does all the healing. The techniques we do in a kinesiology session are aimed at reinstating the bodies homeostasis and activate its own innate healing processes.
Kinesiology also helps us to identify and provide the support that it needs. This may include adapting your diet, changing the way you look at things, reducing your stress, increasing certain activities and much much more.
What can you do to support yourself?
Stop focusing on the Symptoms you are experiencing in your life right now and look deeper into what would happen if you were able to do life without that symptom, HOW would you do, think, feel or say things differently? Write everything down. Create your ideal picture. Sit with that vision and fully immerse yourself in that dream. It might take time to believe it, or maybe you might realise that its closer than you thought. but the more you do it, the more you start to believe that state is your reality. It is at this point that we may begin to realise what has been holding us back, or we simply start making progress towards that reality and start to live our potential.
